Page Break Episode 4: Wesley Chu

The fourth episode of my new podcast Page Break is now out! In this episode, my guest is science fiction author Wesley Chu.

Wes is the author of The Lives of Tao and Time Salvager. In addition to his own work, he’s written tie-in fiction for both The Walking Dead and Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments. Wes and I have been friends since our debut novels came out in the same month back in 2013, and we dive right in to talk about our respective careers and lurking professional anxieties. We also cover tie-in writing, intellectual property, and the holy grail of novel writing: the coveted TV and film deals.

Page Break with Brian McClellan is a collection of casual conversations between me and fellow creative professionals—like two friends sitting down over lunch to discuss career, craft, family, and hobbies.

Authorhood is a quiet sort of minor fame where the person behind the words is often obscured by the works they’ve created. I aim to use this podcast to find out more about my friends and colleagues.

Look forward to weekly conversations with creators like romantic fantasy author Charlie Holmberg, podcaster Veronica Belmont, epic fantasy author Peter V. Brett, science fiction author Wesley Chu, and many more!
